Privacy Policy — Mi Guardia
Mi Guardia (“the App”) is a mobile application that helps you track on-call medical rotation schedules (guardias). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how.
Summary
Mi Guardia is offline-first. Your schedule data stays on your device. The App does not require an account, does not sync to a server we operate, and does not include advertising or analytics SDKs.
Information stored on your device
The App stores the following locally on your device (for example, using on-device storage):
- Rotation periods you create (labels, pattern, dates, optional vacation ranges, shift start time)
- App preferences (such as language override)
This data never leaves your device unless you choose to back up or share it (for example, OS backup, screenshots, calendar export, or a rotation share link you create).
Rotation share links
If you use Share on a rotation, the App builds a link
on alanmatias.com that embeds the rotation’s schedule
fields in the URL itself (dates, pattern, label, and related options).
There is no Mi Guardia server that stores that link.
Anyone who receives or opens the link can see those schedule fields. We do not collect analytics on link opens. If you do not want others to see a schedule, do not share the link.
Information accessed on your device
- Locale / language: The App may read your device locale to choose a default language (English or Spanish). You can override the language in Settings.
The App does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, location, health data, or photos.
No account or cloud sync
There is no sign-in and no Mi Guardia backend. We do not collect, transmit, or store your rotation data on our servers. Share links encode data in the URL on your device; opening a link only loads a static page on alanmatias.com when the App is not installed.
Third parties
Google Play (or other app stores) may collect information according to their own policies when you download or update the App. That collection is governed by the store’s privacy policy, not this one.
Children’s privacy
The App is intended for adult medical professionals and residents. It is not directed at children under 13.
Data deletion
Because data is stored only on your device, you can remove it by clearing the App’s storage or uninstalling the App. Shared links remain usable by anyone who still has the URL until they discard it.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App’s behavior changes (for example, if cloud sync or analytics are added later). The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.

Resumen en español
Mi Guardia funciona sin conexión. Tus rotaciones y preferencias se guardan solo en tu dispositivo. No hay cuenta ni servidor propio de Mi Guardia. Si compartes un enlace de rotación, los datos del horario van en la URL; quien tenga el enlace puede verlos. No se usan SDKs de publicidad ni analítica. La app puede leer el idioma del dispositivo para elegir inglés o español.
